About

Beta Delta Gamma is a men's service & social fraternity at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. The name Beta Delta Gamma was chosen as a the first three letters of the name are an acronym for Brothers Devoted to God (BDG). Our mascot is the bulldog, our colors are orange and blue and our nicknames is BEGE.

Matt Hill, B.J. Johnson, and Cory Rogers founded  Beta Delta Gamma on January 14, 1999. These three men saw a need for change and an alternative to the organizations on the HSU campus at the time. They envisioned a fraternity that would allow men; from any background; the ability to come together and strengthen their fellowship with God. Something they often said in the early days of the fraternity is that they didn't care about being the biggest just the best... which remains true today.

In accordance with HSU policy, our charter and beliefs our members must:

  • Be full time students at Hardin-Simmons University (or part time students in their final semester before graduation).

  • Must be at least  a Second-Semester Freshman

  • Maintain an accumulative GPA of no less that 2.0

  • Participate in 10+ services hours / semester

  • Pay regular club dues and fees

We strive and encourage accountability, love and devotion to God and our fellow brothers and sisters -- in all areas of our lives. By doing so we become the men that God desires of us.
